Took a friend down yesterday and got a bunch of geese to work around but only got 2 to commit. Hurt another one but he had just enough to keep going. Got 10 ducks to mix into the bad tho so it filled in the slow times. And as usual the group 2 or 3 blind over found an old howitzer in the basement and figured goose hunting is sporting at 90 yards so. was fun still. Saw a jesse's sticker in our parking lot who else was there.

WW, my buddy was down yesterday said it was real slow in his area. One duck to show for the effort. Not sure if he has a Jesse's sticker on his rig though.

Good shoot for us. Got a little bit of a breeze in the mid- morning that helped a lot with the movement of the dekes. After that it was pretty much Wigeon fest. Final count, 11 Wigeon, 2 Gaddies , 1 Sprig, and 1 Snow. 89 degrees, and a wide open duck hunt...... ONLY AT WISTER!

That's a good looking strap of birds. Glad to see someone got into them. I knew when that wind kicked up that the widgeon would fly...they just didn't come our way...and we were in a good widgeon pond. Ended up with three, but I was hoping for a full blown widgeon-fest. Also got a bunch of greenwings. The refuge sure seemed quiet. We must've been in completely different areas. The geese worked well for some of the guys.

This is one of my favorite views of Wister...looking across a pond at the Chocolate Mtns (yesterday afternoon)
