I want to take a stab at building my own camera and got a sony P31 already, is this a good enough camera for the pixcontroller setup and more importantly the newer trail software?? Thanks

    It works OK.
The soldering mod contact pts are small,
Just by looking at the P31 cameras available on Ebay,
the P31 has a fairly high rate of failed CCD's,
as compared to other Pxx cameras.

They are very tricky to solder. It can be done. I have done 2 and looking for #3.
