My brother is thinking of buying a Magnum Research Baby Eagle. Don't see too many people with one at the range, so I told him I'd check here for any hands-on experiences. Any help?

I almost bought one a while back. It is just too danged heavy though. If it's just gonne be for the range, then it's probably a good choice. But I want the pistol for carrying through the field, and I like walking through some pretty nasty terrain. I think the IMI Baby Eagle would be just a little burdensome on my hip for 8 hours. I think I've decided to go with the Charles Daly DDA, (aka Bul Transmark's Bul Impact). I'ts another Israeli semi-auto, available in .40 or .45 but it is a lot lighter. I'm just waiting for a call from my local FFL to see if he can get the specific model I want.

Dangit, I just looked at the Charles Daly website again, and they have stopped importing the DDA. Looks like if I want one, I had better get it now before the remaining inventory runs out. If not, I'll be trying to figure out how to get one from Israel to here without breaking too many laws.
