No Flash Trail Cam?

I am looking for suggestions to a good, fast trail camera that does not use a flash. I would like to take night photos and the Bushnell trail scout is not cutting it. This device take to long to trigger and the light from the IR is insufficient. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I am willing to build my own if sent in the right direction as I have no idea where to begin and am not experienced with electrical stuff but am willing to learn. Hi Pred,

I ended up going with Whitetail Supply for everything. Spoke with one of their reps regarding a couple of questions I had and found out they even had the Sony P41 I wanted. I decided on the Sony P41 with 3 wire servo mod & IR mod, 1020 Mossy Oak Camo Case/Pipe through Lid, Shutter focal lens glass and Flash enhancer inatalled, Flash gasket installed, 3M tape and fresnel lens, XLP board and Python locking cable to secure to the tree even went with the Zorb-it and an on off switch. Cant wait to get it and dealing with Whitetail supply was a pleasure. I have been looking for posts on the XLP board but have not found much. Is it just that they are new or are the ones from Pix controller better? Thanks again for sending me in the right direction. SK

The XLP board was just recently released. I believe it was just last week, so they are brand spank'n new to the camming scene.

Looks to be a great board. I like the idea of a super small PIR hole. and the battery requirements to run the board is very interesting.

I might just give one a try. Let us know how you like it. You're the first person I know that has ordered one.
