I found crayfish traps in Bishop,CA. The lakes in the June Lake Loop have Tahoe Blue Crayfish which grow to 7 inches( Crustaceans) ( called Crayfish in my Zoology manual)they have a blue spot on each big cheliped (pincher) and are good eating so it takes a trap with a wider opening use cat or dog food for bait. For traps go to sporting goods stores(we don't have a good one in this area) or hardware stores.
I found crayfish traps in Bishop,CA
there are crayfish in the Owens River. I caught a nice mess some time back with my trout rod and a piece of lunchmeat. I was just north of Lone Pine. Seen em all over that river.

Eat the biggins, save th elittle onbes for bait.

Trout love little ones even more than bass do. I found a dead dawd on the bank of Pleasant Valley Reservoir once. I had zero bites on everything I threw out there up to that point.

I salvaged the tail and hooked it up under a small bobber. That tal hit the water and that bobber went done in a couple of seconds and when all the fuss was over I had a chunky 15 inch bow on my stringer.

When I am up in Bridgeport bring trap . I toss it in to Robsinson Creek at whatever pool we are camped next to. After a day of hunting there are generally a couple in the trap. Either one of the Twn Lakes has plenty of em. I toss a trap from the bank and can get a meals worth by the time I'm done drowning worms. I've had them try and pull my trout stringer into the deep water.
Judge Gideon J. Tucker, wrote in a 1866 ruling that "No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session."
