My neighbors fox terrier has been gone a week now I was wondering if a coyote or 2 could kill and eat it. They live on a Small ranch with 10 acres they see coyotes all the time .

In a heartbeat! Easier to catch than wild prey.
If they need help clearing out the yotes it's what I do. On a place that small I'd use the Foxpro FX5 or hand calls and my Benelli. Let me know I'd be willing to help remove or call for a shooter.

If a coyote can take down a full size deer or antelope, a little fox terrier would be a piece of cake. We have a fox terrier, so our hearts go out to the owners who lost their little dog. That is why we try to kill each coyote that ventures near the house - that and for the kids safety, and for the deer and antelope.

Thats why the only good coyote is a dead one. By the way coyotes will take far larger dogs than a fox terrier. I know of several 100lb labs taken by a pair of coyotes.

Have heard of them taking down larger dogs also. They will run them till the dog is too tired to defend itself anymore.

That's it !! All coyotes are dead coyotes in my eyes from now on ! The last one I shot ( 3 -4 yrs. ago ) was a 20-25 lb female , felt sorry for her as she looked alot like my little female Jack Russel/Beagle X , head shape and body size only with longer legs . Been giving them a break since then , no more !
As my son , who is now almost 20 said when he was 5 or 6 , " those are'nt coyotes , those are deer killing wolves " .
