How many NRA members out there - Page 2

I don't like the calls and such nor do I agree 100% with all of their stances BUT they do a damn good job of trying to protect our rights. They're single minded and focused on not giving an inch. Some don't like that approach but rights are lost one inch at a time. There are other gun rights groups but none put the fear into a politician like the NRA. EVERY gun owner and especially every gun owner that has children that like to shoot or hunt should be a member. They may not get our guns this generation but the anti gunners are looking at the next generation and licking their chops.

Hmmm, not quite. The NRA has compromised the rights of gun owners in the past and will always do so in one form or another. NRA is a business, and if there were no fear of second amendment rights being infringed upon, there would be no NRA. The wheels of the gravy-train do not turn if there is no sensationalism being purported to drive memberships, which is exactly why the grotesquely inaccurate ads were created last year.

I've never given a dime to the NRA and I never will. There are groups out there that care more about gun owners rights than making a buck, and I choose to support them instead.

I'm a member, be sure to vote against the Bill passing before the govenor signs it. Even if your not a Cali resident you can voice your opinion. Its starting with California and will effect other states in the future. All ammo sellers will have to fingerprint buyers and no more on-line selling of ammo!!!!. It's already been signed and is on the governors desk for final signature. E-mail him to vote against it. If we do not fight for our rights we will lose them.
