Help w/ Bass Hill (A26) Archery hunt

I just drew the Bass Hill archery hunt. I have never drew this tag before but I have hunted the Diamond Mountain area on several occasions over the years. I am just looking for any advise I can get so I can make the most of this tag.

I figured the 1st step would be to get the best map I can. Any suggestions on what the most detailed map would be? I was thinking of getting the standard National Forrest map. Has anyone else hunted this and if so how big was the buck (if any) you shot?

My Dad got the Muzzleloader tag this year ill be up their scouting in the next few weeks, I got some maps from the lassen national forest webpage and thats so far what i got, lets hope for some weather.
