7mm-08 model seven ss synt. (remington)???

If somebody has one, I want to know if it is free floated? Meaning, is there barrel contact with the stock?

I heard some model Sevens have a pad that causes barrel contact.

Any other info. would be helpful.

my wife has one. no the barrel is not free floated. alsoi loaded some 163 gr bullert for bear and her 7mm-08 wont feed the right, they want to stick at the ramp.140 gr feed just fine but the bigger bullerts wont. if i would have known i would have got her a 700 remington needs to fix the ramp on the 7 its just to steap
