Condolences to the family, but I can only hope that when the call comes for me, I'm doing the same thing he was doing. It's small comfort to the loved ones, I'm sure, but I just don't think a hunter could ask for more.

Condolences and prayers to the family.
You could not ask more for a better way to go. A native American would have said, from one happy hunting ground going into another happy hunting ground.

So sorry to hear. I wish this man and his family the best. If there is anything good out of this is at least he passed doing what inspired him the most, chasing a big buck in god's country.
Happy hunting, 257scramjet

Hey Guys,
When i first heard that he had died, i felt a great sadness...But then i began to think that he was able to pass doing what he loved to do, what we ALL lvoe to do..!!! So here is to Ronnie...Next week when our group is in the high country, we will drink a toast to a man we never knew, but who is a kindred spirit,

No foul play suspected in hunter’s death
Findings: Autopsy performed on Ronald Wallace.
By GLEN FAISON
THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER
September 5, 2007 12:20 AM
Ronald Wallace (Contributed Photo) An experienced hunter, found dead Sunday after a week-long search-and-rescue effort, died of natural causes.
That’s the finding from an autopsy performed Tuesday on the body of Ronald Wallace, the 49-year-old Terra Bella man who went missing early Aug. 26 while hunting near Johnsondale.
Sgt. Chris Douglass of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department said no foul play is suspected in connection with Wallace’s death. She said the determination that Wallace died of natural causes did not include a specific cause of death.
“That’s all I know at this time,” she said late Tuesday afternoon.
Wallace’s body was found in the area of Crane Meadow off the Western Divide Highway, northwest of Johnsondale. His Ford pickup truck was found nearby.
The announcement Sunday afternoon that Wallace was found dead prompted an outpouring of reader comments posted on the most recent reports about the search found on The Recorder’s Web site.
Reader interest in the ongoing story peaked Monday and Tuesday, with reports of Wallace’s death becoming the most and second-most viewed reports on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. The report is also the most recommended story on the paper’s Web site.
Wallace was on a family camping and hunting trip when he left early the morning of Aug. 26 to continue hunting in the Speas Ridge area near Johnsondale.
That was the last time he was seen.
Wallace’s family reported him missing before 7 a.m. on Aug. 27. The first authorities to respond were resident deputies in the mountain areas of southeast Tulare County. By that afternoon, a full-scale search-and-rescue effort was under way and continued for seven days until Wallace’s body was found.
