What Brand Of GPS Software Do You Use? Would you buy that brand again?
I've used many of the GPS software programs. They all seem to work good and some have certain bells and whistles I like and some don't. It's hard to pick a favorite but Ozie Explorer is tough to beat.

I'm using Terrain Navigator on my PC and MapSource( Topo and Blue Chart) with a Garmin Map76S. No complaints here... only confidence when navigating on the ocean, bay, river, forest or highway.

I am currently trying out Topofusion now and it seems like it will be ok. I haven't purchased it yet cause they are still developing it but it seems great. MC.

Since I missed a couple choices I'll start the poll over.
Any other GPS software you can think of?

You might ask a second question . "Do you more than one map program?"
I have the Delorme topo programs, Mapsource (personally think it sucks) and TOPO.
TOPO is really good at their maps, but is costly to get and is limited on the areas they cover. [You can only get a small corner of Lake Crowley]
Delorme works all over, but the route tool is harder to use than TOPO.
GarmenMapsource sucks on the cool tools that the others have. Have to download preformed sections to GPS unit. In order to hunt this year. I had to download three sections. Most of the areas were not needed. It did make the GPS LEGEND work really cool in the field. I misplaced the disks, so I don't know if I can download those into the GPS unit.

I also use ExpertGPS and like it.
It provides interfaces to your GPS receiver, and allows you to build Topo or Airborrrne photo maps.
It has a lot of route planning capabilities.
The problem is it gets the Photo maps from Terra Server, and they seem pretty old (the aieral photo of my neighborhood is at least 10 yrs old).
It costed me about $80 for a family liscense. I gave a registered copy to my brother and brother-in-law. I thought it is a pretty good deal.

This is my system:
Garmin etrex Vista Cx
National Geographic Topo! (CA)
and saving $$ to add the Garming topo software to be able to see topo features in the GPS unit...I really like the National Geographic maps...I just wish I have a larger printer!
But nothing beats the peace of mind on how to read a topo map and compass...IMHO

Garmin RINO 530 GPS/Radio. When used with a second radio I can send, receive or get there location with out bothering them. My family uses it at the county fair when we split up it will show me exactly where they are at. It's funny to hear other people trying to describe where they are at. I own 2 RINO 120 and 1 RINO 530. I am thinking about getting the RINO 530 chx but I am holding off to see if Garmin is going to make a new model.
