A little help please...
Is there such a hand held GPS unit that you can plug in coordinates and have it point the way? If I put in longitude and latitude I will get there? I have a Magellan now and I can not do this, it only tells me where I have been, not where I want to go. Thanks...

All GPS's do this. I don't know what Magellan you have, but my earliest Magellan Pioneer (the FIRST GPS under $100!) would do that.
It's usually labeled "Goto" or "Find" or something like that. What model do you have; perhaps we can help you figure out how to get where you want to go without buying a new unit.

Mine does have the "goto" option but it must be an earlier marked position. In other words, you must have been there once to get there again. I will look up the model but 300 comes to mind. Thanks

in the magellan, If I remember correct, you can put in a waypoint. Then use goto to go to that waypoint.

Magellan usually calls waypoints a, "Land Mark", and you can create a Land Mark with the keyboard. Then, Goto.

You don't have to go there to have the landmark in the unit. You can enter the coordinates as a waypoint manually. Most all units require you to enter the coordinates as a landmark or waypoint. Once you do, then use the goto function to take you there.
What model unit are you working with?
