Is there a web sit that you can download GPS way points and tracks to so that they will be visible on an aerial map? I have a Garman legend and in the view portion of the task bar it has a link to “view in goggle earth” but when I try a message pops up about Active X and it won’t show an aerial map

You can convert your GPS waypoints and view them on Google Earth with GPSVisualizer.

You could just type in the GPS coordinates from your waypoints into your aerial map software.

I use OziExplorer to keep track of my GPS info. You can load any map you like into it (you have to calibrate it) and you can use the software to store and reload any info you want on your GPS (tracks, waypoints, routes, etc')

This is probably a stupid question but here it goes anyway. So with this program can you plan out your route at home and then transfer the waypoints into the GPS? I'd also like to be able to print the map for backup reference. What scale are these maps in?

I don't know about expertgps, but all those things can be done in OziExplorer. The maps are whatever scale you put in. No maps come with it but you scan your own in or use any map image you can find in it.
