Was wondering the same thing about the hog in heat and scent dripper......haven't seen anything......but with the holiday and all maybe the mail is a little slower than ussual........either that or the mailman busted the bottle in his bag and never made it past the hog farm down the road.....poor guy....LOL.

Sorry for the delay folks. I had some of the scent ordered from my distributer and it came in in the middle of last week but my wife didn't tell me until last night when we got back into town. I'm at the Fire Station right now and I get off at 0700 hours in the morning so I will get those packages mailed off tomorrow. Sorry for the hold up.

I ALWAYS have a dripper with the sow-in-heat hanging near my HONEY-HOLE for hogs on my lease. I have had real good luck with it. The only other scents that I have used personally are the Racoon -In-Heat and the WhiteTail-In-Heat. I use the coon in heat for cover scent and to bait my live traps near my feeders. It works really well as a cover scent. I usually spray it on the bottom of my boots before I head to the stand. I have found that it REALLY works great for getting coons to go into live catch traps. I have had a big problem with the coons tearing up my feeders so I have been trapping the heck out of them for the past month or 2. I have 3 live traps(one at each feeder) and it's not uncommon to have 2 coons in the trap at each feeder when I check them. I caught 13 coons in a week and a half(about 2 months ago) and just recently I caught 8 more in about a week.
I also spray the sow-in-heat on the bottoms of my boots to help with covering my scent. I had a chance to watch a 75# bore root around under one of the drippers before and actually seemed to do like a cat does when they are feeding???when they alternate from paw to paw and clinch their paws??? Well it was pretty cool to watch. I also use the sow-in-heat in all my hog traps. I can't say that it is the only reason I catch any hogs but I really think that the smell of other hogs in the area when new hogs show up helps them calm down and stay around for a lot longer.

cool......I have only 75 acres, but it has a creek running through the middle of it and this time of year when water is getting scarce in the canyons the hogs will come down and wallow in the creek.......where would you suggset putting the scent? up in a cotton wood tree by the creek?
