db,
I have the drawing on my computer at work. ######I will send it tomorrow. ######Do you have one of the clock timers? ######Walmart hasn't carried the one I was using for several months. ######They have one similar but I haven't needed another one yet so I haven't hacked into the new one. ######I can tell you that I built six of these and they have worked perfect. ######I am using a 6 volt 4.5 Mah rechargeable battery. ######It provides much more power than the 6v lantern batteries. ######All 6 of them have been working for over 6 months and the batteries still measure over 6 volts (6.5 volts fresh off the charger).

db,
The timer is made by Ingraham. ######They make several variations but the one you want is the one they typically refer to as digital. ######That is it has a digital display as opposed to a manual knob. ######I know they still make one that has a digital display but they don't mention anything about battery back up. ######The original one that I used (cost about $15) received its power from the 110 volt A/C socket that you plugged it into but it had a battery backup that allowed you to unplug the unit without it losing the correct time. ######It turns out that the clock consumes such a very small amount of power that it will run for several years on a single AA battery. You will need to disassemble the current unit they carry and see if the display will operate via a 1.5 volt battery. If it does, your in luck.
