This is getting ridiculous. Somebody tell me to stop and these 5 will be the last. I'm gonna do one more digital and a few more fast refresh 35s and then I'm gonna take a little break....maybe.

You guys act like this is some kind of sickness! Just tell yourself enough is enough and take back control of you lives, doesn't that sound simple? Be a man about it before your wife has to step in!
P.S. If any of this works let me know - I need help too, before my wife steps in!!!!

I told you Otto!!! Everytime I talk to you it is always your last one. I'm sitting here waiting on parts and have developed the shakes, withdrawls maybe. I don't think there will ever be a last one for me, if I'm not working on a cam I drive myself crazy trying to figure out how to make one better. Looks Good though, Your kids will be in college before you see them again the way it looks!

Hey Otto,
That "fast refresh" OWL sounds like the ticket for trail watching. What is it made up with ? I have an OWL and a Pelican box laying around that I am just itching to put together for trail watching. I use my D380 setup for the feeder because its there is so much activity at the feeder I would go broke with a 35mm. Lou G.

After building three 35mm setups starting two years ago I thought I had the disease cured. But now I'm stewing on a couple of D380 setups - had to go buy them at the $129 sale. Gonna try to wait till later this spring to build them if possible as 1) bucks won't have new horns till late this summer and 2) who knows what improvements will be made in the next 5 months!! You go guys!

Greenbunch,
The fast refresh owl is wired with the three wire method (mrpike/link from my webpage). Then you hook a timer board to the MS20 and buy a chip from brian. I get my timer boards from AEH or Brian. Wire it up like a digital to the timer board and set the refresh to 7 minutes and that is it. The advantage of the timer board is that you can have 5 different delays programmed in by brian and the refresh keeps the camera primed so you don't get any lag time. They are surprisingly fast when this is done. I am also experimenting with boosting the owl with 2 C cells to keep the camera prime for extended cold or long stays in the woods. May not need it, but overbuilding is my signature.
