There are two ways to do this.
1) Just type in the link including any http:\\ stuff and the software should recognize it as a link and do the rest for you.
2) Alternately, you can force it to a link by using the link button above. First, copy the link to your clipboard. Type out the text that you want to be a link and highlight it, then click the link button. You'll get a pop-up window that asks for the URL that you're trying to link to. Paste the link from your clipboard or type in the URL. This option usually works without the http:, and the other option does many times.
