Well let's keep it basic.
1) Sign in to the Gallery to make sure you're looking at your pictures as the owner and not a guest or another member.
2) In the upper left hand corner of all Gallery windows, click on "My Profile"
3) Click on the picture at issue and it should open in its own window.
4) Down at the bottom of that page, under "Additional Information" there is an option to "Edit Photo"; click that and it opens the edit window.
5) On the very bottom of that options page, the last items is:
If you want to delete this image completely, check this box
(with a checkbox followed by)
(CAREFUL - once it's gone it's gone)
