Hi guys,

Jessy always been a great place to find friendship or just informations but this time it's serious I am looking for some advices/ associations to organise a special hunt for a kid with cancer. He was diagnosed a couple weeks ago with a cancer and I don't know how long he would live by the way he wanted to become a DFG officer and he is a avid bowhunter.

Any help would be appreciate

Try these 2. Make a Wish Foundation. Spirit of life Adventures.
I don't know how to contact Make a Wish. But, here is an email for Spirit of Life, timhardin@att.net or their website, spiritoflifeadventures.com.

Make a Wish, Catch a Dream and Wheelin' Sportsmen (NWTF) and if a veteran DAV and Wounded Warrior Project all have programs in place to help. If I could help as President of California Wheelin' Sportsmen please visit my web site and give me a call.

Where's does he live? Maybe some fellow JHO'ers can take him along on a hunt. I'll guide him turkey hunting on a 2000 acre private ranch if he lives close enough to drive here.

I'm sorry to hear it, Sebastien.

If time is short, perhaps find out what type of hunt he'd prefer and research based on that short list. If it's an animal that can be hunted on a private ranch out of state regulated seasons, then it's just a cash consideration. It's generally easier to raise money for something like a private exotic or elk hunt than draw special tags. Some over-the-counter opportunities are out there, but most are in the fall and mostly for antlerless. If that's an option, post up what you think he'd be happiest with and hopefully we'll be able to help in some way.

Heres a list I have at my blog www.help4hunters.com . I started to look for information on these groups because people would contact us at Hunters Helping Hunters for hunts. We dont offer hunts so I needed to be able to point them in the right directon. If I can help in any other way let me know.

I'd first find out what sort of hunt your friend dreams of. Then you could probably try to raise some money here to pay for that hunt. I know there are a lot of honest and kind folks on this forum and I am sure Jessie wouldn't mind posting a banner of some sort or making a sticky to draw attention. Do give Bryce a call, he is a top notch guy and will help if he can.

Good luck and God Bless your friend.

Sorry to hear about that. I agree with the others that you should find out what kind of hunt would make him the happiest. Then we might have a better idea how each of us might be able to help. Please keep us posted and updated.

garsrene.......

I own Guns & Roosters Hunting Preserve in Central California. We shoot Pheasant & Chukars. I would be more than happy to give this kid a free hunt. Go to my website: www.gunsandroostershunting.com or send me a PM and we'll make it happen for him.
