I took these pics tonight while deer hunting up one of the canyons out of Salt Lake City.
Hope you like them.

Awesome pics..

Looks like inversion isnt a problem here. (I think that is what it is called, were the valleys have a haze and you cant see much?) Your pics look nice a clear.

Is that in the area of the Sundance Ski resort?

keep 'em comin

Summer time inversion isn't a problem but come winter it is a health concern for many.

No, sundance would be about 30 miles in the direction of the "Pano" photo and out of Provo, Ut.

Solitude and Brighton ski resorts are over the ridge in the picture. I'm only about 10 miles out of SLC.

Thanks for the comments. Tim

Really pretty pics. We don't get the fall colors like that here in South Arkansas. Really beautiful there.

Very nice pics! Lots of Aspen too, reminds me of when I was in Colorado a few years ago.

What happens is that we get a huge stubborn high pressure ridge that comes in and stalls. Meaning it just doesn't move out unless a storm comes in.

With the high pressure over us all the polution from the factories, cars, busses etc. gets trapped in the valley and can't get out because of the mountains trap the air in.

There are several days during the winter when they issue a health hazard and suggest not to excersize outdoors because of the particulates in the air.
