Razor, What do I do first to get ready to purchase a home?

The First thing to do is get your credit report cleaned up.
Your credit score determines wheather or not you can get a loan !
Low score = higher interest rates you pay over the life of the loan.
If you have issues on your report from reporting agencies, don't think they will go away on their own! They won't.
If it is a mistake, tell them that. Sometimes there are duplicate charges.

Make every effort to lower your debt to income ratio. The money you make and the money you spend monthly on bills.
Don't expect anyone else to do it for you. Only you know the facts regarding your financial history,so it is much easier for you to clear up any issues.
