Well folks, Many of you may have heard about bowfishing as some novelty or maybe considerd it a southern and eastern activity.
In the last 20 years of Bowfishing in this state I have never even a single time seen another bowfisherman on the water. I have seen a fully decked out Muzzy Bowfishing boat going down the highway last year so I know at least one other guy is doing it. I also am a sponsor for the Moses lake Bowfishing tournement each year. Although my business is in full swing in South Africa at my hunting consession I have never been to the tournement to see it myself.
Anyway here are a few snaps from this springtime. I know plenty of very target rich environments now. I seriously persue this activity and have found some unreal shooting locations. Especially at night!
2 hours shooting from 10PM til Midnight.
A morning shoot with my little boy
two nice fish over 20 pounds each
My little guy pullen them in for me
Another 15 pounder headed to the boat
A nearly full carp barrel in the boat
An unusual calm day 2 hours from home in my favorite carp shooting location
Another afternoon of shooting less then 2 hours from home!
Big fun sticking carp if you have a free day and a bow. There are plenty to shoot. As much as I love hunting in Africa, and my job there. It's hard to leave right now with the water warming up and the carp waiting for me to shoot them!
