I didn't hunt the alps this year, but have in years past. There are always some big bucks in the alps. I missed a 4x4 in the alps that was pushing 25" last year. One thing to remember about the Alps for a first timer is there are more people than you would expect. We were in about 9 miles and i saw more people than deer on opening weekend

. But you don't get them if you don't go. Have you been in before? If not take a couple trips in the summer and my suggestion is to avoid the lakes because that is where most people concentrate. If you can find a spot that looks out of the way check it out. Call and talk to some people who live around, the old spoting good store in weaverville called Brady's is a good source for info. Once you have figured out a few spots on the map call and see if it is a good area. My father in law has been packing people in for years and I can tell you if you are on the right track, there are certain areas you will want to avoid because there are usually alot of people in there..
