This bow and arrow was posted on a site that I visit. Is this a good deal. They are asking $250. I need to know if it is a good deal and right or left hand bow? This is rocket science to me but would like to eventually start to hunt with bow. Thanks. If this is in the wrong forum sorry I don't want to pass on a good deal.

Specs.
High Country Max Force
70lb, 29" draw, Jack Flight custom string, Trophy Ridge sights w/pin light,
stabilizer, Sims limb dampners, HCA overdraw, TM Hunter rest, 6 arrow Kwickie quiver, 6 Gold Tip arrows.

looks like a right handed bow to me......before you buy you should get fitted for the bow......do you know your draw length? you might price the bow and see if it's a good deal or not.....if it was me I think I'd shop around.most archery shop's that I know of will let you try out the bow...talk with the guy's/gal's running the shop.....on the other hand archery can get on the expensive side so if you know you have a 29' draw and $250.00 won't affect your wallet then it may be a great deal.

Don't know much about this bow. It looks like it is for a right handed shooter. Make sure you know if your left eye or right eye dominant before purchasing a bow. I would recomend going to a pro shop and shoot a few bows before buying anything. Take a look at this sight to see what this guy thinks of this bow.

As others have noted, if you don't know if it's a right or left hand bow, then you probably don't know your draw length, or anything else, at all, about archery and bowhunting... accordingly, before you spend money on gear that someone else doesn't want, you would be wise to take a short introduction to archery 1 or 2 hour long class at a reputable pro shop... only then will you have even a glimmer of knowledge on knowing what you don't know. Without some background, the most likely outcome is that you will end up with a bow that is either junk, and/or doesn't fit you, and/or costs you a bunch more money to get it to work for you, whereupon you could end up thinking it would have been a better idea to buy a new, appropriately sized bow from the begining...

Not trying to scare you, just being realistic that having the right equipment matched to YOU, is of primary importance.

Good luck... Backcountry

Thank you all for replying. You all had really good points that I didn't take into consideration. When I saw this I got excited because I have thought about the idea of getting a buck with a bow. I have shot a couple of bucks with a rifle and feel like I am ready for a bigger challenge. I was hoping to start now and hunt in 3-4 years after a lot of practice in the art of "NINJA". Just kidding. I am going to BASS PRO SHOP tomorrow since it is opening in my neck of the woods. Thank you all for your reply.

I agree with everyone....just today at work a guy brought in a bow he bought on the internet and it could not be adjusted to his draw length, the limb had a small crack, and the arrows they gave him were in really bad condition. I wouldnt advise buying anything off the internet unless you know the bow can be adjusted for you and you can see its in good condition its in good condition.
