Hey Guys,
I just found out abuot this years deer season, so now i am ready to get back into things..;-) I posted many times last season, and learned SO much from the "Old Timers", that i wish there was a way to thank everyone. Even though i didn't bring a deer home, i found the valley where they live and saw two guys, 200 yrd closer than me get two...
One thing that i focused much time and effort was on my list of things to have with me. We base camped for a day, and then hiked over the 10,000' level to hunt. Once we had left the truck, there was NO WAY to go back if something was forgotten..! I compiled a list from merging various sources, and then posted my final check list here last season. When i returned from the trip, i was amazed at how many things I NEVER touched...! I think i will be able to par down my list considerably..
Over the course of the next few weeks, i am going to get the list, and post a modified version for people here, and in the Mule Deer section. Would other "high Country" hunters mind contributing with there lists ..? I think this would be a great help to the newer hunters, and even some of the "Old Timers". HAHAHA
Thanks,
Tim
