Default do you wear your pack while riding

i am going on my first pack trip. do you guys wear your pack while riding? what about keeping rifle in pack scabbard? is it even do able or comfortable. newbie.. thanks for the info

Yes I do ride with my pack. I keep my rifle in a zipped scabbard.

I have a fanny pack I tie behind the saddle where I can grab it quick. Just becareful about putting to much weight on the horse's kidneys.

i did. i wore a badlands pack, and had my bow strapped to it. nothing like telling a horse to stop, when your bow snags some lowhanging branch. doubt you will have the same issues with a rifle. something to consider.
