I first came across what you use as your handle in the late 60's in the Marines. ###Believe me I did that, many times. ###Do you date that far back?.....hronk.

Waterfowl Master ###I have hunted geese in the Alturas area. I have several buddies who hunt Tule for geese every year. It is a long drive for me(12 hours) but it is beautiful country and I like it. ### ### ### ### ###Fubar

Waterfowl master,
I love your tag. ###I'm ranch raised, and have family in that area.
The feds just distorted the local economy, and decimated many families, all over a stinking
sucker fish. ###You can almost hear a flushing sound as the people leave the area looking for
work elsewhere.
If the treehuggers think they will have any strength in Or state elections in the future, they
had better think again. ###They didn?t just shoot themselves in the foot, they blew it off at
the knee.

Doghouse, the Feds distorted the economy/landscape decades ago when the started making the diversions so that people could use the water for farming. If anything, they are now adjusting things back to the way they were.
The animals, birds and fish were there long before any farmers were.

It's one thing to save off a small percentage of the runoff for dry times, it's quite another to capture the lion's share of water in a watershed and then over allocate it based on optimistic rainfall expectations.
