Does anyone have any info on hunting Prudence or Block Islands? Was looking at the F&W site and saw the dates and limits and was looking for info. Thanks, Vermonstaa
Are you still looking for info?

Yes I am always loking for another place to hunt. I had a buddy who went down a few years back and he had a good time. I try to keep my options open and if I can fill in a hunt I'll go for it. Thanks,John
Prudence Island can be an inconvenience to hunt, the island is archery only (and a shore paraplegic gun season prior to the archery one). In order to hunt the island, you need to pass an archer proficiency test, (you shoot at an outline of a deer on foam and are required to get 3/5 arrows in the kill zone, and you'd be shooting w/ your broadheads). Once you pass you get a card that's good for 2 years then you need to re-test. There are several tests in Aug & Sept that you can go to to qualify I believe the last one is tomorrow.
I don't have too much info on The Block. It;s either shotgun or archery and there are NO LIMITS, the only catch is that you can ONLY HUNT PRIVATE land... and there's some red tape involved as far as signatures goes.
