I have found Mudhole Custom Tackle (http://www.mudhole.com/) to be a very complete source. Netcraft is good, but I think you'll find a better selection with Mudhole.
It's been awhile since I did rods but I've made more than a couple. The process isn't too terribly complicated but there are certain steps to take for the best results. If you need advice or assistance I'll be happy to assist as best I may.

I do it. I buy my gear at Squidco in San Diego. Mudhole is a good source as is www.bad-fish.com

Been doing it for over 25 years. I grew up in a tackle shop!! I get most my parts from C&M in San Dimas and some stuff from the Longfin in Orange. I hunt more than I fish (a lot more) but I still build rods. Good luck. I like to share info and wouldn't mind hearing all your sheep hunting stories too. Ed F
