I talked to Mike from Big Bear MWD. This is still tentative but it's close to being set.
The 2006 Big Bear Carp Roundup will be the 2nd weekend after Memorial Day, June 10-11 2006. The shoot will be Saturday AND Sunday and there will be team and single person entries. Cash payout for both with biggest fish for both days payout too.
Mike will let me know as soon as his board approves the date in early December.
Looks like the AZ and NoCal boyz are coming to town so be ready for some competition.
The rest should be the same. Vender boths, raffles, BBQ after weight in closes etc. Plenty of camping and hotels nearby for the out of towners. Bring the wife or g/f. Big Bear is a great place to enjoy a weekend in the mountains.
I know who the Ariz. boys are. "Serious compatition." Who from NorCal is going? No one that is any good is going. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-devil.gif http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley_stir_pot_ani.gif LOL
You should talk to Cliff White if you haven't already and get him to anounce your trny at his in Clearlake. It will be short notice but you might pick up a couple teams.
We will have to see how things work out this spring mabe we can find away to sneek down there and get our butts spanked by some SoCal/Ariz. boys. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley_stir_pot_ani.gif
On a lighter note great to see another trny making its way in Cal. There used to be 3 trnys a year at Clearlake every year. Now just one. No Delta pot shoots in a couple of years either. Mabe the sport is on a comeback. That might just get me back into it a bit.
Good job Spectr17. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif

Hey DMC, we're working on a tourny at Lake Henshaw the week before Memorial Day. Another high mtn lake but it's real shallow so the carp turn on earlier there.
What, you NoCals afraid of a good butt whoopin? http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-wedgie.gif
I am always afraid of a butt whoopin. I prefer to be the Spanker not the Spanky. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-devil.gif http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley_stir_pot_ani.gif I have had my fair share of spankings at carp trnys. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs-down-little.gif
Since I have never shot a So Cal carp do they tend to swim deeper from all the "Bling" that they wear? Do the carp were sun glasses? If you shoot a big fish do you check it for cosmetic surgery or do you just asume its all natural? When you get into the fish do you call it a school or a Gang of fish? Just some things I wonder about when I think about coming down there to shoot fish. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley_stir_pot_ani.gif
Good luck with your events I hope they go off great. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif
