Fossilman,
Do you hunt out on those windy flats or head east to the turtle mountains and get into alittle timber? Just curious, I've been bow hunting up in the hills for a number of years now. Been making it an annual trip and lovin it... nice county you got out there --- windy --- but nice!
Ps. congrats on the deer and a great season to boot http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-faces-toast-beers.gif Our gun season opens next week. looking forward to getting together with friends and family too.

I'm on the flat's,but in an area full of trees.Just north of Antler,ND............
Alot of bowhunters use that area too, some nice bucks have been takin' out of there..................
If your interested, look me up,I'll show you around the creek area.......
That's where all my Northern Pike came from too http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs-up-ani.gif

fossilman,
I just zoomed in on the area with terra server, looks like a magnet for the local wildlife.
If you’re hunting the fields on the north side of that creek you better stick em good and hope they don't run north.
I will be out there (the hills) for sure in Oct to bow hunt, might even get out there earlier in the season just after the opener for your bow season. If I get out there early, I want to zip over to Eastern Montana to check out an area. Might just have to look you up for a beer on the way through.
Almost made to Antler once, was on the East side of the reservoir, got that far scouting, didnt see any trees (lots of ducks geese, but no trees so headed back east up into the hills)
Just curious, what’s the big square building in the middle of Antler, looks like it is surrounded by a gravel road/parking lot?
Take care, cavey

The building is called the "Square".It use to be the Post Office and Bank, back in the early 1900's......................Then was a place with Apartment's...........
There are only two in the country like it,the other is in Maxbass,ND,,about 20 miles from here.................
As for the tree's up around here,I know them like the back of my hand........I know all their bedding area's,where they feed the whole pile of bean's..........
We have a bar in town here, called the "Cabin" its made out of logs.......
Antler,North Dakota has a website,try it out.................http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs-up-ani.gif
PS: I'm having trouble pulling it off the web,so just go type in Antler,North Dakota and go from there......
