I just wanted to let everyone know about our new PixController LE Rev. 2 boards that just came in today. It's basically the same LE board, but now includes cable/power connectors on the board and matching cables. There will be no increase in the cost of the board either. We're using a new contract manufacture for our boards now and they have been able to include these cables at no extra cost to us because we did some minor changes to the board to lower the manufacturing costs.
These new cables will save you guys a lot of time on building systems, and it will also allow you to remove the control board without having to unsolder any connections. This will also make things easier on us when you want to send a board in for repair work too.
Since these connector/cables have been added we won't support repairs for guys that want to tinker around by soldering to the boards. This just makes too much of a mess on our end trying to put down surface mount parts that get removed by mistake, or board traces that get removed or lifted up.
One Note: The Battery Power connections are reversed from the older LE board. This was done so that all of our battery cables match all of our other control board models
Here are some new photos of the board and the items it now includes:

Looks good Bill.
Can't wait to give them a try.

Bill,
Question for you..... Is the PIR motion sensor mounted in the exact same position as the now "older" version of your LE board? Reason I asked is that I have made a template for the LE board and was getting ready to start drilling holes in my new cases.....don't want to cut holes in the wrong place.
The new revised LE board looks good.

Yes, the PIR and day/night sensor are located in the exact same location as the original LE board. Drill away my friend...

Do you have to remove a resistor off of the LE II board like it says on the pix web site or is that just for the regular LE board ?

Cool improvement---especially with no price increase http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-cool-shades-down.gif

I have a p-41 / universal board setup that I built before the LE came out. I really like the U-board... Especially the way the warm up / walk test mode works.. Does the Le walk/ test mode work the same as the U- board?
For those who have both boards, which do you like the best?
The only thing I plan to do is hook it to a P-41, nothing extra..

Yes - you will need to remove a resistor depending on which mode you are choosing.
LANC & ACC-Terminal Camera Mode = R1 removal
All other camera modes = R17 removal
Configuring your LE board. (http://www.pixcontroller.com/PixLE/PixLE_ResistorRemoval.htm)
The original LE and the LE Rev. 2 are basically the same with the LE Rev. 2 having an "easy to plug-in" on-board connectors. Also, updated was a consistent power port configuration (+ & -), SMT LED's and socket instead of thru-hole, and a couple silkscreen enhancements.
Just remember to choose the correct program IC (LE or LE II) when ordering your LE board. These two IC's control a bunch of different cameras. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-dancin-red.gif
Hope this helps!

The warm-up and walk/test phase of the LE is the same as the Universal board. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-dancin-red.gif
As you already know, this is great for testing the alignment and coverage area of your camera when setting it up in the woods.
I have both style boards and like them equally as much. The one major benefit of the LE board is you can design up a smaller camera system. You will be able to easily fit a P41 and LE into a Pelican 1020 case. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-rock.gif
Hope this answers your question.
Happy cam building!

I guess what was kinda confusing is that on the rev.2 board it looked like you were able to just choose the camera you were hooking to the board with the dip switches without actually removing a resistor. so thanks for clearing that up.
