Okay here is goes. I don't know what they call it in hunting, but in fishing they call it SKUNKED. Yeah that's right. I didn't get ONE. I saw only 1 jack and one Contton tail. I tried to follow them but lost them.
It was really windy. Gust up to 25 mph. Does this have anything to do with me not able to find a D^%m rabbit? It was a full moon last night. Is that it?
I walked, I drove.. I did everything I could think of. I couldn't find anymore. I got there at 6:15 A.M. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs-down-little.gif I was home by 1:30 P.M.
HELP ME. what did I do WRONG??????
I'm embarrA$$ed even sharing this with all of yous. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bag-on-head.gif http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bag-on-head.gif

If it'll make you feel any better, the wind has sabatoged me out there as well. HArd to detect anything moving, when everything is moving. I see far less animals when the wind is blowing. Not sure if they sit tight or just hard to detect. That's hunting!

Yeah, wind can mess things up quick. I've found that it can also make for a great hunt if you concentrate on areas with natural wind blocks. Game animals can't hear or smell predators effectively in really windy conditions, so they'll hunker down, burrow in, or seek to get out of the wind any way they can. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/two-cents.gif

Sorry to hear that Troutman. If it's any concillation I have been skunked plenty of times too. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bag-on-head.gif But thats why it's called HUNTING and not buying meat. Just Thank God you made you were able to make it there on your own two feet. (These crutches suck) Anyday outdoors with a gun in hand is a great day. At least you didn't have to be home all day WISHING you were out hunting. Just my http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/two-cents.gif Better luck next time.

BigGun, sorry to hear about the crutches, hope you heal up soon. So you can get to the Great Outdoors.

Hey Troutman thanks. I'd love to go. I'm gonna try the knee brace and see how I do. Take it easy.
