viewing question

Do I have something set wrong on my computer? ###Some times I can see pics on this site and other times I ###just get a box with a red x in it. ###Any ideas??

FLBowhunter,

Many people are posting pic links to websites that DO NOT allow offsite transfer of the pic. This is why you get the little box with the red X in it. The red X means broken pic link.

Sometimes your can right click on the little red X and hit properties and then copy and paste the pic url address which may bring up the pic in a new browser window. Sometimes, not all the time.

What's odd with mine,

is sometimes when I get those red X's and click on properties, etc and go to the site, view the pix and then return to the forum, the pix is now displayed instead of the Red X ? ? ?

*L*, yeah Tinhorn, that fooled me the first time I did it. When you view the pic after right clicking etc. the pic is stored on your hard drive in the browser cache. When you return to the post here and the page loads and the post calls for the pic again, you now see it because it's already on your hard drive and not blocked from a websitre somewhere.

At least that's how it was splained to me. :noddin-yes:
