MAc user having trouble using this forum

One of the members here is having trouble using the forum since I put the link to the new chat room up.

When he loads this forum webpage he says he gets the java pop up for the chatroom. The chat room is just a java script link to the chatroom and it seems to wok good with us Micro$oft users. I'm not real savvy with Macs.

Any ideas why he is getting the pop up? I'l lget more info from him like OS and settings. Anything else to ask him since he can't log on here?

I get the same thing. ###Basically the chatroom pop-up comes up without being asked as soon as you go into any of the individual forums -- and then proceeds to hang IE. ###I think you can see the main forum page without it coming up.

I have scripting disabled most of the time anyway and don't use chatrooms, so I just added this site to the list. ###Sorry, I should have said something. ###I can explore further if you like.

Okay, here's what happens.

(1) Going to the main forum page is fine.
(2) As soon as you click on a specific topic, Computers and Internet for example, the chatroom box pops up. ###It is extremely slow and seems to hog the majority of the resources. ###I'm on a really fast connection right now, so that's not it. ###It does eventually stop loading stuff and presents a sign-on screen, which appears to work. ###Most people probably would kill it before it got that far, however. ###
(3) This was done under OS9 and IE. ###I can try other combinations if that would help.

Thanks Kickaha,

I pulled the link so you Mac users won't have that problem. I need to figure out how to post a link to the chat room without the java scripting taking over I guess.
