I will be up on the property for the last major 3 day weekend. I have the go-ahead on all of my fencing projects and by that time, the digging projects should also be cleared to go.
As usual, I will provide lots of wine and dine and other diversions.
Let me know if your interested.

It just dawned on me that dove season opens on the 1st of September. Soooooo, lets see if we can get together a northern ca. dove opener. When I was on the property last weekend, I must have seen at least 200 of them. They were all over the place.

OK, looks like this is going to be a junior opener. Jesse has confirmed that he is bringing his two daughters who just got their licenses and Ray is bringing is son who just got his. That will be pretty cool. No crowds so they can get some shooting in without having to worry so much.

He's true blue...... and if circumstances were different..... and it wasn't 9 times zones away....... I'd lend a shovel.
He's used all of his vacation time to do this..... or..... he'd be down.

I just see the pic's..... and his post for needing a body or 2......... or 3..... or....
BD has alot of pride in all he does for the land and critters he's doin' this for.
Before you know it..... we'll be in a lottery beggin' for him to let us hunt up there with all the houses goin' up down here.
Sad.... but true.

Thanks for the good words and the good thoughts guys. And you are both correct. I am doing this for the wildlife and for us. The wildlife needs the help to survive what man is doing to the environment. And if we don't pitch in and help out nature, we and those that follow are all going to suffer the circumstances. I have been harvesting for close to 40 years and now it is time to give back.
And speaking of the lottery, hopefully http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cross-fingers.gif I will get the property into the PLM program next year and then I will have some prime tags to sell or raffle to help my bleeding bank accounts. I sent a registration form in today. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bowdown-purple.gif http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bowdown-purple.gif http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bowdown-purple.gif
I hope the SoCal hunts go well. Trust me, the northern high desert does not attract as many birds as your area. I am just trying to share my love of the outdoors.

Dave,
I am jus thappy to be able to lend a hand and enjoy the outdoors with my kids. I am not expecting flocks of birds, just an opportunity for my girls to experience the outdoors as Outdoorswoman with a few lessons on conservation in a safe setting.
My mantra this weekend, "Muzzle control and shooting zones"
I am thinking about bringing an extra pair of hands. If thats OK.
Thanks again Dave.
