Does anybody know if you can shoot rifles at San Jacinto? I couldn't find anything in the regs.

I'd say no since it falls under that Riverside County ordinance stating shotguns only in western Riverside county. Bishop posted it a year or two back, you might find it using the search.
You could call SJWA and ask to make sure.

No it is shotgun only.... I wanted to use my bow in there and they would not even permit that.

SJWA is in Riverside County, south of 60 and east of 215 off Ramona Expressway, I guess the town would be Moreno Valley?
Here is link to a map

Here is a link to the "general" regs for this Wildlife Area (just do a CTRL+F and look up "San Jacinto")

For upland hunting (excluding pheasant) SJWA utilizes a self check-in system. There is a kiosk near the main building and you fill out a tag and keep a hold of it. When you are finished hunting, you fill out your bag take and drop it in a box at the kiosk. For waterfowl and pheasant, they use the normal reservation system and you'll need to buy a permit, you can buy a 1 day permit and it costs $12 - I think http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cross-fingers.gif I always get the season pass, so I can't remember how much the one day is. I don't know if you need the permit for pheasant, because I've never hunted pheasant there before.
There are scattered doves during the season, most are taken during opener and then it really slows down, but there are guys who can scratch 1/2 maybe 2/3 a limit after the opener.
I've never hunted CT's there before, so I don't know what the rabbit scenario is like. Maybe I'll hit it this weekend and let you know.
