White Seabass ??????

Anyone seen any Whites (bass not sharks) on their dives?

A buddy and I took a ride to Catalina last Fri (6/17) and hit the West End. I was in the water 5 minutes when I ran into a 40 lb'er. I wasn't in the right position for a good shot and tried to meet him on the other side of a kelp stock. When I came around nobody was home. The conditions weren't the best, but good for WSB. My buddy scored on a fish in the 38-40 lb range. I got a call from the same friend yesterday who scored on another one at the same spot. He said the fish was in the low 30 lb range. Here's a pic from last weeks trip:

Went to San Clemente Island last Fri and did well on the East End. I scored a 25lb WSB on Fri and backed that up with a 45lbr on Sat morning. The visability wasn&#39;t the greatest, but there were lots of big boys swimming around that day. My buddy also scored a nice 25lb WSB Sat and we finished the trip off with some paddy sized Yellowtail (13lbs.) from the channel.
