Garmin 130 RINO

Just spent some time surfing through comments and reviews on this unit. Most of what I found praised the RINO, but a couple of reviewers complained the RINO FRS radio did not function as well as other FRS radios, claiming they have poor range and reception. A couple of others claimed the RINO seemed to go through batteries too quickly as compared to single function units. I know the forum has had a bunch of discussion about these, but I was wondering if anyone can confirm or deny these issues with their experience? Thanks much.

I have a 120, and have no complaints.

I've had the RINO for 3 years now, and zero complaints. As for battery usage, mine is normal, and I stretch it by selecting the radio to "off" if I'm only using the GPS function. Always have a spare set of batteries in my gear anyway.
