Saskatoon area

Id like a few names of some nearby towns where i can hunt geese. Where are the good areas? Please help.

The areas east of saskatoon would probably be pretty good more sloughs etc this direction, Couple towns to take a look at are Dundurn ( south) Watrous (s.e) Rosthern (n) Deslisle to the west. All of these areas will be good, but to be exceptional will depend on where there will be the most water Blackstrap and pike lake never go dry. I will let you know in a couple months which areas look hot.
Saskatoon is only a couple of hours from kindersley to the west and quill lakes to the east. Hope this helps

I have heard of quill lakes. Would you say that the goose hunting is best east of sask? Thank you for the reply. I will be waiting for your info. at a later date..

Goose buster, Sorry for the delay, life is a blur. There is no question that there is a lot of geese at the Quill, however there is also a lot of pressure, several outfitters, and lots of local guys. I think B/C of this that an excellent spot is turned into a mediocre spot. There is a ton of water anywhere south and west they have had more rain than they have in the past 3 years combined. My dad farms around Kindersley, from 1 hill we could count 10 sloughs all of these had good hatches of ducks and I beleive that there has been some that have had double batches. Being a little farther from the city gives you unlimitted access to land. I'm sure in the afternoons that you could shoot several partrige or chicken every day. I am abot 2 hours south of saskatoon. We have lots of Canadas but not that many specks, lots of snows later on. If you have any other Questions please ask.
