W. L. Gore, the company that developed the first breathable rain-proof and wind-proof fabrics, has perfected its new Supprescent fabric that blocks human scent from escaping. When worn head-to-toe, it eliminates human scent that spooks game. Other scent-proof fabrics out there lose their effectiveness after a few washings. Supprescent is a permanent scent-proof fabric that can be washed over and over.

Yes, the key word is when worn head to toe. You have to wear gloves complete head cover and you still have your ears and face around eyes exposed. It works well but its a lot of work to be even mostly scent free. Some hunters are wearing two layers for more protection. most hunters don't wash their scent-loc that often but if you have normal scent-loc hand wash very gently and drape over something to dry. The carbon clumps to some areas and it loses its ability to control scent. Just exerise care and you won't have problems. I'm just amazed at the hunters that wear scent-loc clothes and don't bother with gloves or head covering. The companys say its about 60 percent effective this way. YOU ARE NOT SCENT FREE. Deer can smell the 40 percent your still putting off. And what about your gun,back-pac,watch,and food you may be carrying? how about your breath? Even breathing thru a carbon mask how long will it trap all scents coming out? I don't believe you will ever be completely scent free as the adds claim but you can make a big difference in the AMOUNT of scent you emit. Drying the scent-loc in a clothes dryer your wife uses fabric sheets or scented laundry detergent cleaned clothes in will also compromise the effectiveness. Letting pets, woodsmoke,or gas/kero. smells near you also can effect its effectiveness. Its a deep subject.

When in the woods look-act-and SMELL like a tree!
