I recently was reading what national surveys siad hunters like most in antler traits. Was wondering how the members feel on this one. How do you rate these features?

### ### MASS
### ### SPREAD
### ### TINE LENGTH
### ### WEBBING
### ### FREAK POINTS
### ### DROP TINES
### ### BALANCE

### We all have one or more of these features we dream off when that perfect buck walks out,but what is your favorite?

###if i rated each on 0-10 with 10 being best and rate each one on its own scale.

###Mass: ### ### ### ###10
###spread: ### ### ###9
###tine length: 10
###webbing: ### ###4
###freak points: 5
###drop tines: ###9
###Balance: ### ###10

###I really like a good balanced set of antlers with mass and tinelength, a drop tine thrown in would also be great.
###That is an awesome buck by the way,i would have taken him regardless of my preferences

I like wide antlers with tall tines. ###We don't have deer with very long tines where I hunt. I guess that is why I like them.

Wow Woodseye,
That looks like its part Moose. We argue out here about blacktail/muley combos but hadn't heard of a moose/whitetail combo ...lol. I have never been in the position to pick and choose my deer, more like oh crap that one's a buck bang. My favorite looking rack variation is the tall tined symmetrical Texas whitetails that Real Tree outdoors is always after.

would have to say mass, followed very closely by drop tines - i saw one last year with about a 6-8 inch drop tine, boy was he something to look at!!

Mass, tine length and then spread. Kickers and drop-tines are cool, but theres nothin' better looking than a tall tined, wide racked buck.

Like this one for example:

I like them wide and tall, and well balanced with a lot of mass. ###Not a fan of the drop points, kickers, or webbing!

I have taken 2 freaks, one had a split main beam with a tine about 9 inches coming straight out like a unicorn, and one with a palmeated right side that looked like a closed hand. (I'm going to try to get some pics of them posted soon)I guess I like the freaks but I would also like to take one with a nice drop tine someday.
