me its chickadies and squrrels. sparrows too. but i draw the line there. especially since i live right next to a wild life preserve so i have to be careful what i hit. but i havent hunted in years. i dono, once i had to put 6 rounds into a squrrel to kill it, seeing the dam thing suffer kinda made me sick inside and i came to realize im just murdering animals, not so much hunting. so i stopped.

Pigeons mostly now. I would like to find a place to plink some ground squirrels.

KHYRONtheKITSUNE-

This is one of the disputes I have with 177's there's just not enough there. 20/22/25 with some good FPS behind them, along with the accuracy to humanely dispatch the quarry.

I'm not sure this counts as hunting but I use an air rifle for pest control here at the Wet Dog Ranch.

Recently had some English House Sparrows drive off some Swallows we had nesting in bird house. After claiming the box for himself, the male sparrow set up shop on a nearby stump to announce his conquest. Unfortunately for him the attention he got was lethal.

Starlings are a problem to the local wild bird population too, especially our local woodpeckers. They are fair game too.

Use it as a Coup De grah on the mouse trap victims.
Also vaporized a black widow spider I found behind the book case. Slid the barrel 1/4 inch away from it and let off a full 10 pumps worth .177 pelet. All that was left was 4 twitching black legs http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-devil.gif

Black birds, squirrels, rabbits/jackrabbits, and just recently, deer mice. I use the Crosman 1377 for the lighter critters, and the 2250 for the tougher fur bearers.

Rats, they come from the large park in which our boarding barn sits. They feast on the grain some boarders carelessly store, and that which the horses spill.I have taken over 300 in the last 3 years with my Gamo hunter in .177 with a red dot scope.

I hunt rabbits. Harvested two last Wednesday with a Daisy Powerline 1000. Going out tomorrow with my new Mendoza 2003 in .22 caliber. Hope to come back with a couple more bunnies.

Here in California, all resident small game animals listed in section 257 of the Fish and Game Code are legal air rifle game.

I hunt jackrabbits, cottontails, quail, chukar, and turkey.
