Clays? Any public areas?

I was wondering if anyone knows of a place near the Modesto/Turlock area to shoot clays? There are a couple clubs but I am looking for maybe some public lands to plink and shoot clays. Thanks.

Waterford sportsmaen club has a trap range open to the public. Last year it was $3 for a round of trap. Turlock is members only. Stevinson sportsmen club has trap, skeet, and real sporting clays (not 5 stand) http://www.stevinsonsport.com/

Thanks HuntrJohn, I&#39;m turning in an application to the Turlock Sportsmens club. I gave up on looking for BLM or other public areas to shoot. I&#39;ve checked out some public ranges but they are always packed full of yahoos.
