Where is the closest area you can bow hunt for deer in Riverside County. Is it legal to bow hunt Cleveland National Forest? If not where can ya? Can't wait to retire and get back to the midwest, never had to travel far. But you can't beat this California money!

You have San Bernardino and Cleveland NF very close to you, both of which are legal for bowhunting during hunting season. Get the "A/O-1" tag when 2005 deer tags come available at the beginning of June. This will allow you to hunt most of the general deer zones in the state with a bow during archery and rifle seasons.

Here is a link to info on CA deer zones.

Thanks for the responses. I live in Corona and would like to hunt Cleveland National Forest, would also consider San Diego County. Does anyone know where you can access Cleveland in Riverside County besides off the Ortega?
