Hey all, This is my first post here and it looks like a great forum.

I just got a place a couple of miles north of Pembine, WI in Marinette county. Only about 5 acres but I am surrounded by thousands of acres of county forest. Just wondering if anybody here is familiar with the area and any opinions on buck quantity or quality.

Look forward to chatting with you all.

I have camped at Morgan Park before and have a freinds parents who live just ouside of Pembine. The trout fishing is awesome up there and I have heard that the deer hunting is great. They see alot of deer but not to many big bucks. 5 acres is plenty enough space to make that little sanctuary once all the flat landers start hitting the woods. Good luck and keep us aprised of the season.

Hey thanks for the reply. I have a stand set up on my 5 acres with a trail cam, have not hunted it yet.
I will post some pics if I can.

Just saw this post, sorry.

I have hunted the pembine area for about the last 10-12 years or so. We havent had much luck with the bucks, but do see tons of does every year. Honestly, we have only killed three spikes (first deer for each of us) over the years. My buddy got his first one last year, and he has hunted up there every year since we started.

I have also noticed that the check stations are full of spikes with the occasional nice buck. I have only seen one real brute over the years. We dont go to the bars unless we take a deer in, so I am sure their are more bigger ones. Like I said, we really only see spikes and forks there.

We hunt on 80 acres of private land, not surrounded by public land though. However, there is public land near by.

Not sure if this helps. Good luck!!
