Early Teal opener

Any of you Texas boys (and girls) headed out for the Early Teal opener on Saturday. I&#39;m going with a guide friend of mine for Saturday only. I won&#39;t be able to take my dog. We are hunting in waist deep water and all they have in cattails. No trees to hang a perch on for the dog to sit on. Anyway, good luck to anyone who&#39;s headed out. I hope were done early. Should be if the birds he&#39;s seen there are there tomorrow. At least if I can hit &#39;em that is.

Bzz.. sounds like a real good time.. I have never been duck hunting so do not know much about it. But, it should be a blast!!! Good Luck!!

Well I ended up with 3 Teal. Fours the limit so thats not bad. Theres only two in the picture because I gave one to one of the guys I was hunting with so he could use it to work his dog. We ended up with only 8 birds among 8 hunters. I was on the end of the line and seemed to get most of the action so that worked out pretty well. Probably could have got a limit, but I passed on a shot I probably should have taken. I thought it was to far at the time but ended up nailing one about the same distance a little later. The dog had another great hunt as well. She retrieved two on her own. Did a good job of marking. The other landed on the other side of a ditch, so we had to go look for it.
