When did you go back or when are you going back? http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-rock.gif

I went today. This was the only day I ever thought of just leaving and not coming back.

School is packed this year (Most freshman we EVER had) They cut our lunch 5 minutes. So we have way to many people and less lunch time. We only have one lunch. Took me 10 minutes to make it through the people to get to where I hang out at. Then 5 minutes to make it back to my next class.

Parking is about the biggest joke. Took me 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot. JUST THE PARKING LOT http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-rolleyes-green.gif They tryed directing me to make a right. Right was about 1/2 mile of bumper to bumper at a most of 5mph at any given time. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-ren.gif

So, being YH, I went left and heard campus security yelling at me, so my parking permit is probabably gone tomorrow http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-hitting-self.gif I made a left.. I was out of the mess in 5 minutes. I guess they don't care, they don't have to put gas in my car http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-rolleyes-green.gif

Okay, sorry. Just complaining a little. Its never been this bad. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-soapbox.gif

Seems to be contagious... The rules are stricter for the students down here this year. Alot of Saturday-school punishments. No cell phones turned on - period.

My oldest sons' school is under construction and they tore down a building. All of the classes are in portables. No restrooms. They have to go in porta-potties lined up on the sidewalk to the football field. Also no room in the lunch area. He had to wait until after school and hit the Mc'Ds. And parking... he's a senior, so he is allowed to park in the school lot. No other grades will get parking passes due to the number of spots that were taken for construction equipment.

New reports from my kids:
Daughter in JH - So many students at lunch that the lunch line takes 25 minutes out of her 40 minute break.

Son in HS - Has to visit at least 15 of 19 listed UC colleges and universities (from Pepperdine to Riverside and south to Irvine) AND take a picture of himself in front of each noted landmark AND buy something from the book store (to get a receipt) AND include a parking stub. All before the end of the second quarter in January. They don't care if he has to work, or if the assignment takes up all holiday time. He says Anaheim Unified was hammered by the District for not having enough college prep students. The alternate assignment is to submit an essay on each of five short stories which the teachers do not have enough copies and will not allow the books to be taken home.

I don't agree with that assiment for your son. Going to 15 schools costs some money! Can they even do that? http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bs-sign.gif

Lunch.. haha. Thats funny. I don't even bother anymore. I found out its a 30 minute lunch (took 5 minutes off to add to 'reading period') Talking to a guy I know and he said he spent all of lunch today in line and still didn't eat. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-ren.gif

Parking was a mess again. I went a differn't way that ended up taking longer because I had to get out on to the school's street. That took 10 minutes. The two cars in front of me were being really nice and not cutting anything close. So, we waited and waited and waited and waited. When those two got out of my way, I was at that stop sign for 10 seconds tops. Have to push your way out there, no one will let you go http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lame-sign.gif

First day I showed up over 40 minutes early and still had a ton of traffic.(School starts at 0720) Today left home later and had even more traffic. Maybe if I get there at 0530 I might not have to deal with anyone http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-hitting-self.gif

Leaving was more fun today too! I hung out, got a soda, walked to the front of the school, talked to a guy I know about his new i730 and took my time going all the way to the parking lot. Still a load of cars http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-ren.gif I guess I should just wait 45 minutes before even attempting http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs-down-little.gif

Marty, how bad is traffic at your kids schools? I picked my sister up yesterday (junior high/middle school/Whatever it is). That was fun. People just parked everywhere (Heard it was worse today, but mom got to deal with it) I was trying to park in a place barely big enough for what I was driving(Tacoma), but I'm not used to it (Mom's truck) so I looked like a moron, parked 1/2 cocked http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-rolleyes-green.gif Luckly, lady in front of me was nice enough to move up and I pulled up a bit http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-rock.gif

Sorry for the long rant http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-rant-mode.gif Schools just seemed to went down hill since last year. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-shakehead-blue.gif

Yes. Traffic is terrible all around. I wait more than 25 minutes after the bell before I head in for the pickup at the JH. The HS is not bad if you stay out of the main lot - next door is a shopping center where parents wait. These days, the son in HS hangs in the lot with his gf and they wait until the traffic clears.

Started school on August 12, sucks. Traffic is insane.
I hate my English class, the teacher wants me to buy a book to read for an assignment; I told her until she or the school provides me with one, she won't see my reading it, or doing the assignments associated with it.
Marty, that assignment sounds incredibly http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lame-sign.gif
Lunch is too short; 30 minutes, 900 people, and 4 lunch lines (closed campus). It is almost impossible to buy your food and have time to eat without being late to class. The principal told me to throw my lunch away and go to class, I replied that I'll enjoy my lunch, thank you (sat for another 10 minutes eating) http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-wave-hello-yellow.gif
All these stupid administrators and teachers are making me mad http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bs-sign.gif

My school with 350 kids is a breeze. Getting out of the parking lot takes no time at all and I get back with a deli sandwich in 15 min or less. http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smiley-bowdown-purple.gif
