Elk mount

I was just in Oregon this summer,visiting my in-Laws.My brother-in-law had a elk mounted.It looked really nice untell I got close to it,it was terrible! The skin around the horns were a half inch away from the horns! If that was mine I would be taking it back and have a do over for free! He payed over $600 to have it done too.Terrible, just terrible!

Just curious, what is the average cost for an elk mount? Shoulder mount? Head only mount?

About $500.00 to $700.00 around here.
