Bald Eagle

This morning I went out bow hunting on my farm. ###Skunked again. ###At around 11:00AM I went back to my hunting shack where my trusty old golden retreiver was waiting. ###I decided to take him for a walk through the woods. ###About a mile into the woods I sat down on a log and Woody sat down next to me. ###As a young hunter many years ago I learned to call the coy dogs with my mouth and the back of my hand. ###I did a few distressed rabit calls and sat there hoping to arouse something. ###WOW! ###Within ten or twenty seconds I heard thundering foot sounds, crunching leaves, and some wild coyote yelps. ###Two large (I mean really large) coy dogs came running full blast up behind us. ###Woody jumped up barking and all I could do is watch. ###The two coyotes split up and one ran past me on the right and the other on the left. ###They kept going and it was all over in less than 30 seconds. ###I always have my 45 auotmatic with me but I was definately caught with my pants down this time. ###I think Woody was scared to death because he just stood there barking until I made him stop. ###Pretty cool!
